Our story.

beauty for ashes

It is incredible to look back at the story of Reunion Church to see how God is moving. Even through the craziness life throws at us, God shows up in unexpected ways, and things work for His good. Though the story truly begins long ago, we want to invite you to join us as we look back on the beginnings, the shiftings, and where we are now as Reunion Church!

God at work.

  • 2014

The McKinneys spent time in Las Vegas, at Canyon Ridge Christian Church, where God grew a passion for disciple-making in Mark

  • 2017

In May, God called the McKinneys to Ventura County to start a movement for the lost and fatherless. Four months later, they moved to California to start Reunion.

  • 2018

This was a big year as partnerships developed with other churches, the Lidtkas joined the efforts of starting Reunion.

  • 2019

January, 2019, Reunion had its first service in Regal Theater located in the Janns Mall in Thousand Oaks. Drawing people from Thousand Oaks, Moorpark, and Simi Valley.

  • 2020

With Reunion being just a little over one year old, the Covid Pandemic hit California hard in March. We pivoted to take our services online and did so for 18 long months.

  • 2021

When California lifted the public meeting ban in the summer, our church members, Luigi and Kimberly, invited us to have Reunion meet in their production warehouse in The Alley, located in Moorpark. It immediately felt like home! God brought us out of that epic season stronger and more resolved to be a disciple-making church.

  • 2022

While we believe the church is found in its people, it's also helpful to have a central gathering space for our Reunion Family. And so we have made The Alley our home with offices nearby. We are excited to see what God will do in and through Reunion as we work to create a movement of disciples making disciples that will create a movement of bringing heaven to earth for the 275,000 people in our communities.
